The Cairns Historical Society’s 2025 Annual General Meeting brought together members, volunteers and local historians to celebrate another year of preserving Far North Queensland’s history. Held at the Cairns Museum, the meeting saw the election of Board members, the appointment of a new Indigenous Director, and the presentation of the S.E. Stephens History Award and Life Memberships, honouring those who continue to shape and share our region’s story.
